We’re excited to announce news of the next artist to host a Futurephonic Psychedelic Trance Masterclass: none other than Tristan, hosting his very own Ableton Live Psychedelic Special! This class will be held on Saturday 26th October, streamed straight from Tristan’s studio.

In case you haven’t heard of Futurephonic: the company was set up by Alex Story, ex-Sonic Species, and Sam Morgan, Ableton Live specialist. The Futurephonic Masterclass is a unique opportunity to connect with the professional artists of the Psytrance scene, and have already run several successful classes for students all over the world. The three-hour seminars are held online and, once enrolled, students can join our live Google Hangout, with it’s unbeatable high-quality stereo audio technology, and be part of a small, exclusive class. The class is completely interactive and your questions are put forward to Tristan throughout, as he guides students through the processes he uses to give his music the extra spank and mangling which he’s world-renowned for.

A true legend of the scene, Tristan‘s been an established name since his days with Twisted to today with high-flying Nano Records. Like many artists, Tristan‘s become a true Live convert and will be showing us why he’s never turning back. Rather than deconstruct a track as we have done with other artists, Tristan‘s going to show us not only how he builds a track but will be treating us to a close-up look at how he pushes Live to the max to achieve the next-level psychedelic glitchiness for which he is well-known.

This class is aimed at intermediate-advanced Live users who want to get it straight from the man on how to get twisted – and if you’re not currently a Live user, you’ve got about a week to get up to scratch with the software that, steadily one by one, the pros are turning to, including Tristan‘s regular collaborators Jez (Laughing Buddha) and Leon (Avalon)!
